Phil Honeywood - Chairman (Independent Director)

Phil Honeywood commenced as Chairman and Independent Director for 370° group in 2007. As the former Minister for Tertiary Education and Training in Victoria and a member of Parliament for 18 years, he has chaired many parliamentary committees.        

Up until late 2011, Phil was CEO of a large private international college responsible for delivering Certificate and Diploma Courses. Currently, Phil holds a full-time position as the National Executive Director of International Education Association of Australia (IEAA).

Phil's long history for delivering world class training for young people is testament to his passion and 370° group is able to benefit from this.

Barry Fedden - Board member (Independent Director)

Barry Fedden was appointed an Independent Director in August 2011 by the NECA State Council. He brings strong commercial experience to the Board particularly in the areas of finance and operations management.

He was previously the Senior Financial Officer of COINVEST Ltd, the trustee of the Construction Industry Long Service Leave Fund, another not-for-profit organisation that supports the construction industry. Prior to this, Barry worked in a Chartered Accounting Practice (audit, taxation, secretarial) and held senior financial and operational positions in a range of commercial industries.
 

Phil Green - board member (NECA Director)

Philip Green was appointed as Director of 370° group in April, 2008. As the current CEO of NECA Victoria, the peak industry body that represents the interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry in Australia, Philip played a key part in the 2010 restructure which saw NECA become the sole “stakeholder” or member of 370° group (previously NECA was a 50% stakeholder). Given the synergy between both businesses, Philip is now able to use his skills and industry background to build and position 370° group as the premier provider of training and apprenticeship services to the Victorian electro-technology industry.

Phil's background includes is in industrial relations, human resources and operational management roles along with 25 years experience in the electrical and communications contracting industry.
 

June Wilson - board member (independent director)

June Wilson was appointed as a Independent director in August 2011, bringing strong financial expertise and commercial experience to 370º group. June has over 30 years' experience in the finance industry, with expertise in audit, risk management, due diligence and mergers and acquisitions.

Immediately prior to embarking on a non-executive career, June was a partner with Ernst & Young in Melbourne, providing audit and advisory services to a wide range of clients across all industry sectors. She has also held senior roles at KPMG and National Australia Bank. June is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a non-executive director of Foodbank Victoria Limited.
 

Paul Tobin - board member (NECA Director)

appointed in 2013, paul is the newest board member of 370° group. paul, a neca board member of four years, brings extensive experience to the team as an award-winning business owner and project manager with over 10 years experience leading strategic growth and project delivery responsibilities for large commercial and government electricity and plumbing infrastructure projects. he has managed his own company and joint venture projects of $1m to a$30m value while ensuring operational, quality and safety standards are met in-line with company policies and statutory obligations.

paul is a resourceful entrepreneur and leader with depth of experience in commercial sectors including electrical, plumbing, building, construction and utilities as well as 17+ years experience in all phases of business planning, business growth and strategy execution.

   

Michael Purnell - board member (NECA Director)

michael purnell was appointed as a board member in august 2012. as general manager of nilsen (vic) pty ltd for 11 years, michael brings a wealth of experience and expertise to 370º group specialising in finance and business development. 

seen as an industry leader in oh&s, nilsen has developed a strong safety culture under michael’s leadership having won both national and state awards. he also believes in investing in people with training and development to create this safety conscious environment.

he is currently a councillor of neca victoria and part of the industry eba negotiation team. previously long held positions include: director of industry severance fund, protect and member of the industry advisory council of major contractors.
